Simulation training is so close to reality that it doesn’t take long until you think you’re on board a real vessel.

MARITIME EDUCATION & TRAINING – VALUE PROTECTION

State of the art technology meets reality in tailor-made trainings

Investment in crew skills never stops; for trainees or trainers. That is why INTERSCHALT steadily invests time, money and creativity in keeping our MARITIME EDUCATION & TRAINING CENTER (MET) a unique, state of the art training location. Good training is not only the best way to prevent accidents. It also enables crews to operate your ship safely and efficiently thanks to training on our bridge simulation facilities.

Opened in 2007, the MET offers training that comes as close to reality as possible. On one of our four bridges with up to 270° vision in brilliant screen projection, the trainees will be confronted with individually configured scenarios. A seminar room becomes the loading office, the training team in our fully equipped and electrified engine room simulator communicates with the bridge – and sometimes a simulated ship might even face grounding because somebody forgot a telephone call. Maybe that is why average feedback scores from more than 3,000 participants range from good to excellent.
