PrefaceIn compliance with the Intenational Convention SOLAS, merchant vessels are required to carry VDRs for incident investigation. Maritime casuality investigation reports often point out a VDR user training gap regarding Emergency Backup Release, system usage including data storage, relay opportunities and legal foundation. This training course is designed to fill these gaps by theoretical and practical training, combined with ship-handling simulator based incident data storage and investigation.
ObjectivesBasic skills: theory, functions and system features. 
Advanced skills: practical exercise with Emergency Backup Release and Data Replay.
